ERASMUS+ 2014-2020

The Cultural Association Pinocchio by Carlo Lorenzini Thursday, April 10, in Florence, during the event "ERASMUS 2014-2020 + - Changing lives, open minds" - which was held in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio where took place the official launch of the new Erasmus+ / EU - paid tribute to the highest authorities of European culture by offering some original artworks made ??by the Master of the Laboratory Flash Art in the European biennial project Pinocchio Forum, Caterina Balletti.

The President of the Association, Hon. Monica Baldi, has donated to the Minister for Education, University and Research, Sen Stefania Giannini and to the European Commissioner for Education and Culture, Androulla Vassiliou, the two sculptures of Pinocchio in full aluminum paper of particular value by the artist Caterina Balletti and gave to Sara Pagliai, coordinator of the National Agency LLP / INDIRE, the flash art opera reflecting the work performed in the laboratory of Pinocchio Forum.

And the Hon. Baldi said: < We want to give these artworks of Pinocchio, created by the artist Caterina Balletti, as a testimonial of our rich cultural heritage, recalling the book's author, Carlo Lorenzini, alias Collodi, born and raised in Florence. With this sign, we want to express gratitude to the European Union for the opportunity given to us in creating a cultural, innovative and special project, that sparked a process of cooperation and collaboration among different European partners developing intergenerational, also, creativity and growth > .

The project is directed to the formation of a consciousness open to creativity and to increasing the operational group activities, to spread the knowledge of the territory and history, to improve partnership and civic responsibility, to provide support for the development of innovative programs to improve cultural heritage. Comparison between the different interpretations of Pinocchio and European fairy tales through a European Pinocchio Path rich in surprises and activities for children and citizens over 50.The project will operate in a context of intergenerational dialogue.
The project aims to increase self-confidence and well-being; to increase awareness of similarities and differences among different culture; to improve cooperation and communication among partners countries and organizations in the field of activation of 50+ with a special focus to the social inclusion. It aims to valorize our cultural heritage; to learn about the different interpretations of the story of Pinocchio; to know other European educational stories; to learn about the different methods of learning in various areas.
The two-year project is implemented even through a European itinerary of ten workshops called "Laboratori di Pinocchio", where adults and children can learn under the guidance of excellent craftsmen the art of craft.
