Abstract:
It addresses the issue of ortoterapia considering the beauty and uniqueness of the historic garden pausing to analyze, as an example of excellence, the Boboli Gardens. The horticultural therapy is in this case given to disabled persons, intellectual and relational, especially with Down syndrome, who use the plants, the gardening and nature activities as well as treatment and rehabilitation in support of traditional medical care.
Pinocchio leads on this path of growth and the Boboli Gardens is the perfect place where nature, history and beauty are the basic ingredients to achieve real inclusion process that also enhances our extraordinary historical, artistic, cultural and environmental.
The different associations also intend to help make better the quality of life for persons with disabilities, their families and communities.
