127th Anniversary of the death of Carlo Lorenzini

In Florence, Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 12:00 am at the Monumental Cemetery of the Holy Doors, next to the beautiful Basilica of San Miniato, on the initiative of the Cultural Association Pinocchio by Carlo Lorenzini, it is commemorated the Florentine author Carlo Lorenzini, also known under the pseudonym Collodi, the 126th anniversary of his death (October 26, 1890 Florence), at the Chapel of the Family Lorenzini.
The tribute to the great Florentine author is made by the President of the Regional Council of Tuscany Eugenio Giani, the President of the Culture Committee of the Municipal Council Federica Giuliani, the President of the Association Hon Monica Baldi and with the blessing of the Prior of the Church of San Miniato Father Bernardo Gianni.
For this important occasion, the Hon Baldi said: "This year to remember Carlo Lorenzini will be particularly exciting because thanks to the common and constant commitment of all of us, institutions and citizens, it may soon be possible to see the restored Capella Lorenzini. It is necessary, however, that the City of Florence continues, without hesitation, the work of consolidating, redevelopment and safeguarding the walls where these monumental chapels are placed, which may be subject to further serious damage. "
