The Pinocchio by Carlo Lorenzini Cultural Association intends to study and promote the Florentine author of “The Adventure of Pinocchio” - the most translated book in the world after Bible and Koran - through the identification of historical paths mentioned in many tales of the writer and at, the same time, it works with specific projects for architectural, social and economic redevelopment of San Lorenzo district where the author was born and lived.
The Association aims to promote the Italian manufacturing excellence and value through national and international projects to create a synergy among social, cultural, educational, economic and environmental fields.
Pinocchio to be considered as a model for export of Made in Italy in the world even through the retrieval and enhancement of historic workshops identifying the "Laboratory of Pinocchio" where anyone can learn arts and crafts, heritage of Italian craftsmanship.
Many are the projects and the cultural events in Italy and abroad, the public manifestations and a series of initiatives focused on the redevelopment of San Lorenzo district so that the same could perform in the best way its complex functions.

Purposes of the Association (pursuant to art. 3 of the Statute)

  1. the study and promotion of “The Adventure of Pinocchio” by Carlo Lorenzini;
  2. the identification of historical paths referred to “The Adventure of Pinocchio” by Carlo Lorenzini;
  3. architectural, social and economic redevelopment of San Lorenzo district in Florence (where the author was born), through specific projects;
  4. the diffusion at national and international level of Italian manufacturing excellence through Pinocchio’s story;
  5. the dissemination of knowledge of Pinocchio as cultural, educational, economic, urban and integration model to export in the world;
  6. the recovery and re-evaluation of historical shops identifiable by proposing a "Laboratory of Pinocchio" where teaching arts and crafts typical of the artisanal culture would be possible;
  7. to promote and encourage the realization of the Pinocchio Museum, to realize in San Lorenzo district of the Tuscan capital.

The Association can even stipulate conventions with public and private institutions; perform manifestations, conferences, debates, exhibitions, multimedia events, courses, seminars and cultural initiatives, promote cultural exchanges, travel, predispose publications and documentation centers; release awards and recognitions, etc .
